OpenSky Fremont Sunrooms started in 2024 with a simple idea: help homeowners in Fremont and the East Bay make better use of their outdoor space. A lot of homes in this area were built in the 1950s through 1980s with patios and decks that sit empty most of the year. A well-built sunroom changes that. It adds usable square footage, brings in natural light, and protects you from the weather without cutting you off from the backyard.
The founder grew up near Lake Elizabeth and saw how many neighbors had outdoor spaces they barely used. Too hot in summer, too cold in winter, or just not practical for the way families actually live. That is where the idea came from - build sunrooms that fit the climate here and the way people use their homes. No cookie-cutter designs. Every project starts with a conversation about what you need and how your property is laid out.
